We are here to save lives and help you fulfill yours through meaningful volunteer experiences, networking opportunities, fundraising events, mission programs and more - helping you find your passion and make a tangible difference so we can save lives and diminish suffering from cancer.

College students are the future and inspire us with their passion and energy for the cause. Join over 300,000 college students from more than 465 campuses across the country by hosting a collegiate Relay For Life event.

Bring a Relay For Life event to your school. These events help develop leadership and community service by encouraging students to lead and support their peers and teachers and can make a big impact on your campus and your community. The Schools vs Cancer program is a great way to drive home the message that it’s never too soon to adopt healthy habits to improve overall health and prevent cancer. The activities and educational materials provided with the Schools vs Cancer program teach children and their families how to make positive choices for healthy living and cancer prevention, including nutrition, physical activity, sun safety, vaccines, and tobacco prevention.

These healthy behaviors have a huge impact beyond preventing cancer, too; they can help kids feel better and perform better in school. More importantly, kids who establish healthy habits early are more likely to lead healthy lives as adults. The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is a fundraising event honoring the life-long contributions of our canine caregivers. These dogs demonstrate unconditional love, joy, compassion, and no judgments of cancer survivors’ abilities or appearances.

Families and their dogs come together for a few hours during the day and complete a walk to honor the caregiving qualities of their canine “best friends” and cancer survivors. Activities can include:

• Doggie games
• Top dog and dress up contests
• Team and community fundraising
• Music and food
• Special dog guest demonstrations by groups such as: therapy, police, or rescue dogs

At Bark For Life events, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, find new support systems, and make lots of new friends.
