About Men Wear Pink

About Men Wear Pink

Men Wear Pink campaign ambassadors across the nation are stepping up and using the power of wearing pink to raise funds and draw attention to the breast cancer fight. In fact, every dollar raised helps the American Cancer Society save more lives from breast cancer through early detection and prevention, breakthrough breast cancer discovery and research, and lifesaving patient support.

What Does It Take to Be An Ambassador?

Men Wear Pink ambassadors raise awareness and money to fight breast cancer. Of course, the top fundraiser claims bragging rights as the #1 ambassador nationwide.

As a Men Wear Pink ambassador, leaders commit to:
- Wearing pink throughout October
- Raising awareness for the cause through their personal, professional and social media networks
- Raising a minimum of $2,500 to help the American Cancer Society fight breast cancer

About Breast Cancer

In 2020, female breast cancer surpassed lung cancer as the most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide. Despite this, the death rate from breast cancer dropped by 41% from 1989 to 2018 as a result of earlier detection through increased awareness and mammography screening, as well as advances in treatments. And today we celebrate the more than 3.8 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. including those who completed treatment and those still undergoing treatment.

If you or someone you love is concerned about developing breast cancer, has been recently diagnosed, is going through treatment, or is trying to stay well after treatment, we can help you find the answers you need.

Prior Top Ambassadors

The success of the Men Wear Pink program depends on the creativity and commitment of our past and current ambassadors. We recognize these prior top ambassadors who went above and beyond. After all, fueling many of the American Cancer Society's lifesaving research and patient programs isn’t possible without the help of community leaders like this distinguished group of supporters.

Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.

Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
