RFL North Santa Cruz County has requested a dynamic speaker full of Hope for the Luminaria ceremony. The luminaria team is allotting 10 min for the speaker, as there are other components to the ceremony. We would love to have Nicole share her story if she is available.

It would be amazing to have a survivor speak during the luminaria ceremony. The ceremony will begin at approximately 8 30. I was hoping that the speaker would give a speech at the beginning of the ceremony.

Relay for Life of MSJHS is having our campus Relay event on April 27, 2019. In the 2018 season, we raised over $100,000 for ACS, and are hoping to raise even more this year. We would greatly appreciate a speaker for our opening ceremony. The speaker would be speaking to about 300 students and parents/faculty on a small stage on our track/field to kick off the event.

The event is hosted by Chevron, AT&T, PG&E, and a few other companies that are tenants of the Bishop Ranch Business Park in San Ramon. The walk itself is very short since it is during lunch time. We are hoping for someone to engage with this group about the mission of walks like these and the impact of being involved with ACS. Registration starts around 11am, opening ceremony will start at 11:30 and the walk will start no later than 11:45. Walkers will loop around the lake and come back by noon for lunch and closing ceremony.

The 2018 Relay For Life of Portland is from 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 - 10:00 AM on Sunday, August 12, 2018. We are in need of a speaker for our Opening Ceremony as well as at our Luminaria Ceremony. The Opening Ceremony is at around 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 11th, and the Luminaria Ceremony is at 10:00 PM. The speaker only needs to speak for about 5 minutes. I'm willing to speak with any interested people to provide more info!! - Maddy Ouye, Experience Lead.

Hello,
I am not sure if this is the correct form to fill out to find what i am looking for but.. I am a Programs Director for a senior living community and would love to have a speaker come out for a presentation on preventative measures that can be taken, signs and symptoms that might be red flags when dealing with cancer and anything else that might be beneficial to the them. The date is flexible as well as the time.

Our kickoff is a 2 hour event with hors d'oeuvres and beverages held from 3 PM to 5 PM where we'll celebrate our new Relay community (Pacifica and Coastside combined) and our Relay teams. We plan to have a 30 minute program in the middle of the kickoff where we'll welcome everyone and state our purpose for gathering, introduce and a cheer for each Relay team, and listen to an uplifting/inspiring story. The Voices for Hope speaker would be the uplifting story part of the program and would have 5-10 minutes to speak. Denise has been recommended to us by our ACS area manager and was a team participant on one of our new teams, so we think of her as part of our Relay family. We hope she can join us for the entire 2 hours.

We are having a celebration for our caregivers and survivors - we are doing a cookie sharing party and there will be Polaroid taking with backdrops and signs, funny glasses, etc. our theme this year is to try something new, if that is something that is helpful. Thank you!

The speaker will be talking to all of the Mission San Jose High School RFL teams, who have gathered for the 24-hour event after months of fundraising. The speaker should either talk about their experiences with cancer or how they have contributed to the fight against cancer. There will be a stage and a microphone to speak on. Depending on the ceremony, the speaker might have to arrive at a certain time.

This is for our morning ceremony of our 11th Annual Relay for Life. We would appreciate 2-3 speakers for the ceremony to help motivate and uplift everyone before our event begins! The event begins at 10:00am, registration begins at 9:30am and I anticipate the opening ceremony will be from 10:00-11:15am.

This is our 11th Relay and our 3rd DIY Relay. When we lost access to an ACS sponsor, it has been much more difficult to find Voices Of Hope Speakers to come out to our event. We have the traditional Opening, Luminaria and Closing ceremony. Our event is only 12 hours and we are looking for more volunteers to speak during our Luminaria ceremony, which will occur around 8pm (sunset). Thank you!

The Relay for Life Club at Saratoga High School will be hosting its first mini Relay for Life Walkathon on May 25 to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The event is open to only SHS students at lunch (12-12:35) and anyone that's interested from 2:00-7:00. There will be information about Relay for Life, delicious food trucks, a silent auction and raffle, and fun activities. People who attend will be able to walk around the track to show their support their for those battling cancer, survivors, and their families.
We're hoping to also have some speakers speak throughout the event about their experiences or cancer awareness in general. Speakers are welcome to come anytime during the event and stay as long as they would like. We're hoping that speakers will inspire and motivate participants at the event. Thanks!

The USC leadership team attended the community event leadership conference on February 1st, where they heard Jonni share her story. The team was so moved by Jonni's powerful story and they would love to have her as a special guest speaker at the USC RFL. Jonni could either speaker at the opening ceremony, closing ceremony, or the luminaria portion of the evening. The event runs from 10am-10pm.

We are holding a 12 hour Relay for Life and would love to have speakers for our opening ceremony and Luminaria ceremony. Our times are not finalized as of yet but generally it will run from 10 am to 10 pm. We'd love speakers to tell their story in the opening ceremony around 10-11am and speakers for Luminaria around 8-9:30pm at night.

I am a VOH alumni and I continue to share my powerful and unique story with others but I'd like to suggest or maybe you guys suggest something else for myself to share with everyone relating to my book. I recently just published a book late December (2019) and it's sold over 200 copies so far. It's a memoir in honor of my twin sisters passing. Passed at 26 years old four years ago with Colon Cancer. Through the book it talks about our first years in an orphanage (not knowing we were sisters at the time and grew up as best friends) and through our early, adult and late adult lives and ends with Vera's experience through Cancer and as well as my experience and thoughts as a care giver.
