Why We Wear Pink
Bradley's mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer twice. While he was playing in college, his mother attended every one of his games while still going through her treatments. She stayed strong and never showed any pain. She officially went into remission on April13th, which is Bradley's birthday. Bradley wanted to get involved in order to be a part of something bigger than himself. He wanted to join a group that has experienced similar things they can all share and relate to. Bradley is excited to be fighting alongside the other candidates for a common goal, and is confident in their ability to come together to conquer it-all because Real Men Wear Pink.
Tucker's mother was also diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. It was a scary time for him and his family, but he was very thankful she was diagnosed at an early stage and after all the necessary treatments they were able to rid all the cancer from her body- she is now fully recovered. Later in the year, his best friend's mother passed away from metastatic breast cancer. It had spread to other organs and there was no treatment to help her get better. After experiencing these two instances with breast cancer, especially so close together, Tucker gained a new perspective on many things, and he doesn't want anyone else to have to experience what he had to go through. He wants to help other people in these situations. and that is the reason he jumped on board to be part of the Real Men Wear Pink initiative.
