Welcome to My Personal Page

12 1/2 years ago, I lost my best friend Michelle of over 30 years to Breast Cancer. She fought a very tough battle and lost her life at the young age of 46.  She left behind a husband and 3 children.  Her children miss their mom. She missed so many milestones.  Both her sons got married and her youngest son had her first granchild last year and she didn't get to meet him.  Her daughter turned 20 this year and is in college. She was a sister to me and my life and the lives of my children will never be the same.  One of the photos is her and I on our first cancer walk together.  The other photo is our family on our first walk after we lost her to cancer. This walk is how I keep Michelle’s memory alive every year.  It is my opportunity to honor her memory and honor all breast cancer survivors, remember all those we have lost, and help raise funds for groundbreaking research as well as information and services for people fighting breast cancer. Please consider making a donation to support me in my efforts to fight and end Breast Cancer once and for all.  A gift of just $50 could go a long way, it could make it possible for the American Cancer Society’s Road To Recovery® program to provide five rides to or from treatment for a cancer patient. Imagine what it would mean to a woman who can’t get to treatment otherwise. It could literally help save her life. Please make a donation or join us in our fight! The funds I'm raising will sustain critical research and provide services for people trying to cope with their breast cancer experience. Believe me, every dollar really does count, so I'm asking you to please donate today. Together, we can make a big difference in the fight against breast cancer.

I'm supporting the American Cancer Society and you can, too!

Welcome to our Team Page. We've formed a team because this cause is important to us. We want to help. And walking and raising money in our local American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is the best way we can do that. We all have different reasons for participating but we share a determination to help save lives from breast cancer.

There are so many ways that the money our team raises helps. It’s helping fund innovative research. It's providing free information for people dealing with the disease. It’s providing rides to treatment and places to stay for people who have to seek treatment far from home. In short, our money is helping save lives. Consider donating to our team and helping advance the cause.

How We Support the American Cancer Society

Of course we walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. And we solicit donations from family, friends, and other supporters. But we also schedule fundraisers in lead-up to the big event. Bake-sales, car washes, and countless other types of events. And we promote those on social media, through Facebook and Twitter, by word of mouth, and through flyers at work and around the neighborhood. The success of fundraising events depends on two things - hard work and getting the word out. And we're out to do both. Keep an eye out for our fundraising events.
