Why I Wear Pink
This is one of my favorite events of the year for a lot of reasons. Each year I hear more and more stories about mostly women, but yes even some men, who battle breast cancer. Although it's not affected my family, every year I learn of someone close to me that it has. I also love getting to meet and join other mid-Missouri men who come together as a community to try and do something about it!
Why I Support the American Cancer Society
Over 40 years ago, my oldest brother was diagnosed with a form of cancer, and he and my Mom got involved with the ACS. At one point my Mom held some state-wide volunteer position, and we would go to conferences around the Country as a family. All these years later it feels nice to be involed with the American Cancer Society again.

Discovery
Investing in breakthrough science to find more - and better - treatments, uncover factors that may cause breast cancer, and improve patients' quality of life.
Health Equity
Ensuring that all people have a fair and just opportunity to prevent, find, treat, and survive breast cancer. ACS and ACS CAN believe all people should have a fair and just opportunity to live a longer, healthier life free from cancer regardless of how much money they make, the color of their skin, their sexual orientation, gender identity, their disability status, or where they live.
