Cancer in general has had a significant impact on my family.  I lost a grandfather to liver cancer and an uncle to leukemia.  My grandfather had three sisters who were all diagnosed with breast cancer, and only one of the three survived.  Additionally, I have a close family member who recently battled breast cancer, but I am leaving her information off for privacy reasons. 

 

 

I am most excited about having fun to support a great cause.  Though I've had my home care agency providing in-home care for local seniors for almost 10 years, I wanted to find other wayts to be of service to my community.  I am also excited to don some pink!  Additionally, I am thrilled about the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research, and to unite with others in my community to make a tangible difference.  Last year, I helped to organize and put on two large events to support a local non-profit that supports breast cancer warriors.  It was during that time period that I realized my passion for this cause and decided to become a Men Wear Pink ambassador. 

 

Something fun about me? My girlfriend and I have an insane number of rescue animals: 6 dogs, 6 cats and 2 parrots. I've always had a love for animals and the great outdoors as far back as I can remember. I enjoy spending time outdoors - hiking, kayaking, or simply exploring nature.
