The Why:
For my third year, I am entering this endeavor for very personal reasons. I am very glad that I decided that I had sat and watched long enough. It was time to do something, and I decided if not me, who, and if not now, when?
My wife Jane is a 20+ year breast cancer survivor. Our twin daughters Stephanie and Allison were both diagnosed with breast cancer in September of 2019 at age 30. One has been cleared after successful surgery, another in remission after post-surgical chemotherapy treatment for a year at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
The doctors were sure they did, but our twins did not have the BRCA gene, so there is something we don't yet know about the disease. That's why I'm involved.
We have a younger daughter, Jennifer, and we don't want her to have to go through this as her Mom and sisters have done. She is going through regular screens, and you and/or your loved ones should too. Early detection saved my wife and daughters' lives.
We must find a cure, and in the meantime, provide education, better testing and more awareness.
Simple as that.
Love to all, and thank you for helping this year's RMWP Campaign
