Why I'm Participating in a Relay For Life Event
This Relay page is highlighting my Dad, a two-time survivor of NhL, and my mom is a breast cancer survivor. You also see my dog, Hogan--who we lost during the Christmas Season of 2014, to cancer.
Cancer is a horrendous disease and it CANNOT WIN any longer!
A Relay For Life event is not only a way to join my community to fight back against cancer, but it is also a way to inspire hope by raising funds and cancer awareness to help those facing a diagnosis.
**Most of my fundraising monies come from the staff members at the Port Huron office of Michigan Works, Employment Services Department as donations from their "Casual Day", which occurs weekly.**
I am participating in the American Cancer Society's lifesaving mission, and I would really appreciate your support! The funds I raise helps fund important cancer research, supports cancer patient programs and services, and goes toward other important activities that help save lives from cancer.
Why I Volunteer with the American Cancer Society
By walking in a Relay For Life event I join more than four million global volunteers who are dedicated to finishing the fight against cancer. This is my opportunity to honor the cancer survivors in my life, remember friends, family and my beloved furry-friend (pet dog, Hogan) I have lost. Relay for Life donations raise funds to support the American Cancer Society's lifesaving missions.
Please join my team or make a donation in support of my efforts. Thank you!
Together, we WILL finish the fight!
