God, in His perfect way, laid my cancer journey out like a beautifully finished puzzle that started on 9/29/14. You may have heard me say a time or two, “Allstate saved my life!” If it wasn’t for the rewards Allstate gave to have a yearly physical, I would not have been referred by my PCP to have my very 1st mammogram when she found a lump. I was diagnosed on 10/29/14 with Tripple Negative breast cancer, a very aggressive type of cancer. The day of my 1st chemo treatment was one I will never forget! My sweet son, Brentley, age 9, told me, “You have to be scared to be brave!” He also said he knew I would be fine because they had coffee!! My precious daughter, Bridgette, age 12 made me a picture collage that said, “We are here for you!” and wrote me this poem: You brighten up my day with a smile of warm embrace. Even in times I’m blue, you know how to lighten up my face. Is it your comforting touch or just the way you care? Or how you’re good at everything and when needed always there. Whenever times are good or bad, you’re my compass, my guiding light. You’re my shelter when it rains and my lantern in the night. So thank you mom, with all my heart. You deserve endless praises for all the love you give to me. Thank you for being there through all of my phases.

Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same.
Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love.
Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.
Like so many others, breast cancer is a very personal cause for me. It gives me the chance to make a difference and to honor those touched
by breast cancer by raising funds for groundbreaking research, and services for people dealing
with breast cancer. I believe that there will come a day where the pain caused by
breast cancer is a thing of the past. And until it arrives, I'm walking to inspire
hope to those facing the disease and raising money for the American Cancer Society's
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event to help save lives from breast cancer.
Every day, the American Cancer Society helps people take steps to reduce their risk of breast cancer or
find it early when it is easiest to treat. They provide free information and services when and where people
need it throughout their journey to get well. They are investing in innovative research to find, prevent, and treat breast cancer.
I have signed up to walk and fundraise for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.
I hope you will consider joining me and/or making a donation in support of my efforts. Together, we can make a difference.
Breast cancer affects everyone - it doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. That's why I'm stepping up to fight breast cancer with all I
have. Since I'm in a position to make a difference within my community, I believe I have an obligation to do so. By raising money and
awareness through Real Men Wear Pink, I'm helping to save more lives from breast cancer.
Every day, the American Cancer Society is saving more lives from breast cancer than ever before. They're helping people take steps to
reduce their risk of breast cancer or find it early, when it's easier to treat. They provide free information and services when and where people
need it. They fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and they're working to ensure access to mammograms for women who need
them.

Cancer has touched all of us in some way.
And we want to stop this disease in its tracks.
We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society.
Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
