Why I Relay
Every two minutes a child somewhere in the world is diagnosed with cancer, and we unexpectedly found ourselves part of that statistic in December of 2017.
Cancer has affected all of us. Whether you’re a fighter, a survivor, a caregiver, a friend, a family member, a coworker—we know all too well that Cancer doesn’t stop. For the third year in a row, I am proud to walk in honor of my little Lucas, already a survivor and not even four years old.
The American Cancer Society is once again partnering with pediatric cancer patients, survivors, and caretakers, to go #GoldTogether, which means 100% of everything our team raises directly supports childhood cancer research, services, and awareness, as well as promotes cancer prevention efforts targeting children.
Through research, information and support, as well as efforts to improve access to quality care, The American Cancer Society and its advocacy affiliate—ACS CAN—are working to make sure children with cancer not only survive, but thrive just like Lucas.
That's why I'd love your support. Will you walk with me? And if you can't would you be so kind as to make a donation?
If you are unable to donate online, please print a donation form to mail in your donation.
