I lost my mom to uterine cancer 21 years ago this June. My dad fought lung cancer. My sister survived stage-4 breast cancer. Our dear friend who was diagnosed with Glioblastoma last year, sadly lost his battle on Thanksgiving Day 2022. I have many friends who have fought valiantly and have won their battle and are cancer free today! These are all my reasons why I relay. Every single person can probably say they have been affected by cancer in some fashion - it's something we are all familiar with. Participating in Relay for Life is a way we can all give to honor, celebrate or remember all of those we know who have faced this battle.
The funds I'm raising will help sustain critical research and patient services in this difficult time. Duke & UNC will be recipients of the moeny we raise. Believe me, every dollar really does count, so I'm asking for your help. Please donate today, because together we can accomplish anything!
