Cancer has affected far too many people in my life. Family, friends, colleagues. Kids and adults. Even my pets. I am blessed to have known some amazing folks who lost their battles - beautiful Kallan Hammaker who was just 7 years old; my mentors, Stevan Baird and Connie Newell; my dear friend, Mike Sykes and so many more. I have also watched others - including my own mom and my dad - battle this horrific disease. (Both my parents are survivors, I am happy to say!) But more work needs to be done. THAT is why I Relay. So cancer doesn't take another person from me - or from you.Relay For Life supports cancer patient programs and lifesaving research. It also celebrates survivors and remembers those we've lost. Will you walk with me? And if you can’t, would you be so kind as to make a donation? Every dollar counts! |
