This is my 1st Relay For Life and I decided to join to help raise funds for cancer research and also to honor loved ones, to celebrate survivors, and to show my support to anyone in our community who's been affected by this horrible disease.
Last year my Mom left this earth after a short battle with cancer. Soon after, my dad was given his own diagnosis, having to embark on a tough battle for most of 2023. We are grateful he made it through chemo, hospitalizations, transitional care, and surgeries, but we miss my Mom every day and wish she had her own survival story. For my dad and I, last year was a wild year full of grieving, caregiving, and barely surviving (in more ways than one). Now my dad is on a surveillance schedule and we hope we continue to get clear scans.
The funds I'm raising will sustain critical research and provide services for people trying to cope with their cancer experience. Believe me, every dollar really does count, so I'm asking you to please donate today. (Even $5)
I invite you to join me by either making a donation, purchasing a luminaria, or coming to the Best Buy campus to walk (it's a mile-long path). Whether you are a survivor, caregiver, or have lost someone to cancer. please consider joining my campaign to help further research to end cancer and to support those affected by it.
