Dear Donors and Visitors,
When it comes to cancer, we all are connected to loved ones or someone we know who lives with its reality. For me, I was present in the world of cancer since I was born, as my elder sister Bella was diagnosed with multiple forms of cancer. Throughout my childhood, my sister's life was one of many cancer treatments, procedures, and visitors in the environment of hospitals. Nevertheless, Bella ceaselessly sought opportunities to pursue the people and things she loved, carrying an emblematic spirit of resilience and compassion. Although Bella's passing in 2014 marked the end of her fight with cancer, my fight continues for Bella in any avenue I find to help cancer patients and cancer research across the globe.
At Vanderbilt, the Relay for Life Chapter cultivates the determination to help bring care to cancer patients and fund cancer research, and I am continuing to share my sister's story and legacy to bring forth a better tomorrow for the fight against cancer.
In memory of Bella and the many who have been afflicted with cancer, please make a donation to Relay for Life, which can be done on this page.
