Fundraising Honor Roll

my family!
my family!

I am Megan Murchie, and I'm starting my fourth year at Northeastern. This will be my fifteenth year participating in Relay for Life! I could not be more excited to continue my Relay journey at Northeastern! In the past, I have been, the Chair of Advocacy and Chair of Mission Events, providing my community with resources for cancer prevention and planning various events that promote advocacy on campus. This year, I am the Support Chair for Mission and Advocacy! I am so excited to incorporate our mission into everything we do here at Northeastern Relay for Life.

When I was seven, I participated in selling glow sticks at the event. Then, as I entered Middle School, I created my own team and would raise money through bake sales, going door to door, and making raffle baskets. During this time, my Mom and Dad were diagnosed with cancer, making the event's meaning and impact bigger. In High School, I progressively became more involved until I was the one running the event.

Relay is a huge part of my life, and its impact on people's lives is incredible. I want to continue doing my part, no matter how big, to improve someone's life. By donating, you would allow us to get closer to a cure and provide some much-needed relief in patients' lives.

I relay for my Mom and Dad. I relay for every patient, caregiver, and survivor. I relay because everyone knows someone whose life has been altered by cancer. I relay for a cure.

This year, my goal is to raise $1,000. I hope you can help me achieve this goal by donating; any donation, big or small, would help.

If you are unable to donate online, please print a donation form to mail in your donation.

Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.

Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
