Why I Relay Cancer has affected so many people I know and love that it's inspired me to join Relay For Life. This has been a part of my life since I was young. My mommy is a cancer survivor, so I grew up loving Relay!
For me entire life, Relay For Life has been something extremely important to me. As the years have passed, many people I love have heard the news of the C word. Cancer has impacted each of us in some way, whether it be a family member, friend, or even yourself. I Relay so that statement will soon hold no truth.
My best friend, Elexus, fought a long, tough battle with this yucky disease. She is now at home with the Lord, but she fought that battle with the most strength. I miss her each and every day. I Relay for her!
Funds raised support cancer patient programs and groundbreaking research that can help save lives. This event also celebrates over 15.5 million cancer survivors nationwide. 15.5 MILLION. That's huge.
