Hi everyone! I am extremely excited to be an Outreach Co-Exec with Virginia Tech Relay for Life this year (the BIGGEST COLLEGIATE RELAY IN THE COUNTRY)!! I joined VT Relay as a freshman as a way to introduce myself to new areas of service and friendship in a new environment, and continue to be a proud member of VT Relay due to its incredibly passionate and hardworking community. We love to host fun events throughout the year (the car smash was a big hit with my friends!) while including aspects of our mission in every moment. Each donation towards Relay for Life goes towards cancer research and aiding patients and their caregivers during treatment. Hope Lodge, Road to Recovery, and Cancer Helpline (800-227-2345) are only a few of the businesses supported by Relay for Life. Individuals going through cancer, along with their loved ones, deserve every resource we can provide. The American Cancer Society’s mission is simple: better the lives of people influenced by cancer with the ultimate goal of finding a cure. I believe there is no greater goal than improving the lives of others, so I encourage you all to join the fight against cancer. I look forward to seeing you all on the Drillfield April 19th!! |
