As a Biomedical Sciences student, cancer resonates with me both scientifically and personally. Having witnessed its devastating effects on my own family, particularly a scare with my grandma when she underwent extensive testing for suspected colon cancer, I'm deeply aware of how this disease can seemingly affect anyone. Though my grandma's diagnosis was fortunately benign, the experience strengthened my resolve to support those who aren't as fortunate. This passion drives my involvement with Relay For Life, where I serve as HOPE Chair on the Executive Leadership Team. Here, we honor survivors, remember those we've lost, and support familieies affected by cancer while raising awareness. The funds we raise directly support the American Cancer Society's critical research and services for those facing cancer. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a tangible impact.
