Why I Relay Cancer affects lots people, every day. Some we know and love. I have cared for many people throughout my healthcare career. I have worked in nursing homes, assisted living complexes and did some end of life home care. All of this experience has inspired me to join Relay For Life. All I've ever wanted to do is make a difference and give back to my community. Cancer can be a real beast, and we CAN fight it on our own, but why, when we are stronger together. Join us in our monthly challenges and special events and show your support either by donating and participating, or raising funds your own way. We are the Hearing Care Cancer Fighters. Our goal, as a team, is to raise $2000 this year. Help us, big or small, to give a little HOPE back to those in need. We'll spend the next year fundraising for the American Cancer Society, doing our part to help in the fight against cancer. A couple ways we plan to fundraise are: -->RFL Cancer Pops - Year round. - pick a sucker and contribute the suggested donation. (0.50 -$1/each) -->RFL Giveaway - Evey $10 donated=1 drawing. (Date: TBD) -->RFL Match a Mile - For every $1 donated towards Match a Mile, our team will walk/run/bike a mile. Join our team to help get contributions and meet our goal. (Year round) We'll honor the lives lost, celebrate survivors and support and cheer on the caregivers who so selflessly help battle cancer. Want to give a shout out? Donate in someones name and I will do a dedication, or join our team or Facebook page and you can. Together, we'll be part of the solution, making a difference in this important cause.
