October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Cancer has touched the lives of each of us either as a cancer patient, survivor, caretaker or through the loss of someone dear to us.
Today's statistics tell us that one in every three women recieving a cancer diagnosis will hear the words, "You have breast cancer." But something can be done to change those numbers. Through research and testing that eads to earlier detection, fewer women will face that life-changing event.
On Sunday, October 6, our team The Walden Wildflowers will participate in the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk at Cantigney Park in Wheaton.
Would you consider helping the Walden Wildflowers in our mission? A donation to our team will help us in the vision of seeing women bloom and thrive as treatments, cures and services are furthered through research. By eliminating breast cancer we can prolong the lives of our mothers, sisters, daughters and all the wonderful women in the world.
