Strides RewardsFlamingo Day
Join our team to "make strides against breast cancer" walk on Saturday, October 26 at Trustmark Park in Pearl! We will dress up and have some Saturday fun, but before that...help us kick off breast cancer awareness month as we celebrate survivors and remember loved ones at the 13th Annual Pink Ta Ta Party on October 1, 2024 at Table 100 in Flowood.
Join us October 1, 2024, at Table 100 for the 13th Annual Pink Ta Ta Party honoring breast cancer survivors and all cancer survivors, male or female! Party starts in the bar at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the event space! The locally famous Pink Ta Ta drink & silent auction proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Strides Campaign! The story behind the Pink Ta Ta Drink: Local survivor, Sherry Pierce Hartfield, was diagnosed with Stage IV Inflammatory Breast Cancer on March 6, 2012. Less than 6% of women are diagnosed with this type and it is known as the "silent killer." Sherry went in for a routine doctor's appointment and noticed a rash on her left breast. No lump and did not show up in a mammogram. She was given 3-6 months to live without treatment. Oh, but God...won't He do it?! She lived 5 1/2 years until her untimely death in August of 2017. Her memory and legacy lives on through the Pink Ta Ta, a drink that was created by a local mixologist at Table 100 just for Sherry. The drink is pink with 2 cherries on top and tastes delicious! For the last 13 years, Table 100 has donated $1 to breast cancer research for every Pink Ta Ta sold and 100% of the Pink Ta Ta's sold on the night of the Pink Ta Ta Party! Thank you to Table 100 and everyone who attends this FREE event & donates silent auction items to help us raise important dollars for the American Cancer Society. She and her "girls" Cora Beth and Meade and all of their TEAM SHERRY family and friends, continue to fight for a cure! Sherry was an extraordinary woman and kind to all. She fought hard and made it her mission to live each day with gratitude and kindness. Grab a friend and come join us on Tuesday, October 1 in the bar or in the event space! If you cannot attend but would like to make a donation, please make your 100% tax deductible donation to the Flamingo Day team. If you don't have a team to join for the walk on Sat., October 26, please feel free to join the "flamingo day" team and walk with us. As Sherry used to say while drinking out of her flamingo coffee mug in Orange Beach, Alabama, "Have a flamingo day"! Psalm 118:24 "For this is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Thank you for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.
As of January 2022, we have invested $71 M for potentially lifesaving breast cancer specific research grants.
We have received over 250,000 calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support in 2021
Cancer patients benefited from ACS transportation support through our Road TO Recovery program and transportation grants in 2021, with nearly 229,000 rides provided.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against breast cancer.

Strides RewardsThis isn’t what I wanted.
Welcome to our Team Page. We've formed a team because this cause is important to us. We want to help. And walking and raising money in our local American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is the best way we can do that. We all have different reasons for participating but we share a determination to help save lives from breast cancer.
There are so many ways that the money our team raises helps. It’s helping fund innovative research. It's providing free information for people dealing with the disease. It’s providing rides to treatment and places to stay for people who have to seek treatment far from home. In short, our money is helping save lives. Consider donating to our team and helping advance the cause.
How We Support the American Cancer Society
Of course we walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. And we solicit donations from family, friends, and other supporters. But we also schedule fundraisers in lead-up to the big event. Bake-sales, car washes, and countless other types of events. And we promote those on social media, through Facebook and Twitter, by word of mouth, and through flyers at work and around the neighborhood. The success of fundraising events depends on two things - hard work and getting the word out. And we're out to do both. Keep an eye out for our fundraising events.
