Fundraising Honor Roll
Like so many others, I became involved in this walk because breast cancer has deeply impacted my life. The Bosom Buddies were created in memory of Elaine Hudson. Auntie missed her yearly mammogram and the following year was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized breast cancer. Breast Cancer claimed her life after a courageous 5-year battle. Auntie Elaine was an inspiration to so many. I created the Bosom Buddies as a fun way to remember her and her legacy.
As another year passes, I find myself trying to comprehend the fact that everyone I talk to has a loved one fighting the battle. The harsh reality is cancer is no longer the “older generations” disease- it’s now my generation’s fight! Making Strides is the breast cancer division of the American Cancer Society. That is why I joined Strides. Our fundraising focuses of the cure for Breast Cancer but it also sponsors ALL cancer research. I am determined more than ever to fight for a cure and end this horrible disease.
In supporting their employees my company, Stop & Shop, has become a major flagship sponsor of this event (as well as other Making Strides walks on the east coast). I am asking for your support, even the smallest donation will be greatly appreciated. Together we can help fight for a cure and end this horrible disease… imagine a world cancer free!!!
