Blue Gene Brigade
"We are a mighty army, marching towards a cure!" I have been a part of Relay For Life since 2010, a special bond that my daughter and I shared by participating in a worthy cause. In 2014, our focus for Relay changed when my almost two-year-old niece was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. We lost her at the tender age of 4 in 2016. We continued Relaying in memory of Chayenne until 2019, when I was diagnosed with stage III turned stage IV rectal cancer. I later learned that I have Lynch Syndrome, a genetic condition that causes multiple types of cancer. I now Relay under the Blue Gene Brigade, representing blue and yellow for Colorectal and Childhood cancers, the Lynch Syndrome ribbon, and butterflies in honor of our young warrior Chayenne.

Thank you for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.
Since 1991 we have invested $3.43 billion in cancer research.
We have received over 360,000 calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support in 2023.
Cancer patients benefited from the ACS transportation support through our Road To Recovery program and transportation grants in 2023, with nearly 769,000 rides provided.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

This isn’t what I wanted.
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
