My Reason to Relay For 2025, I will continue to push hard to honor my husband, kidney cancer survivor while my focus will be to honor the memory of my Dad who bravely fought brain cancer. The brain cancer fight was his 3rd bout with cancer and sadly he lost this battle on November 14, 2022. My Dad was my hero..I always modeled my life based on what an incredible person he was...I strive daily to be like him. Wow it is now the 2024 Relay Season, here we are once again!! My heart and soul go into Relay For Life! This year mark's the 19th anniversary for the Relay For Life of Brazoria and Ft Bend Counties!!! I am so proud to serve as Event Lead this year!!! So mark your calendars!!! This year our event will be held on a Saturday .... It will be here before you know it- support me and all my loved ones as we honor those who have fought their battles and survived and those who have not, we will forever hold close in our memory! I have lost so many family members and friends to this dreaded disease....and until we have a cure...I will continue to be devoted to Relay For Life! I never want my kids or my grandkids to hear the words- YOU HAVE CANCER. Therefore, I Relay. I will walk with my fellow teammates to raise money and awareness for Relay For Life. I will cry and I will laugh during the Relay- in celebration and in remembrance. I will be there for a shoulder to cry on and I will need a shoulder to cry on. I will light luminaries and stand in awe of the power of what people joining together can achieve. Please join me and my teammates in making the Relay For Life one of the best yet. And maybe we can make it the last Relay For Life that has to be held ever! Let's find a cure folks................ THANK YOUfor your support Debbie McDonald- Team Captain- Hope Comes In Pink |

Not ever being completely comfortable with loss. I also am still mourning the loss of my beloved mother in law to cancer in July 2017. In forever honor of her we will have Momo's Bell ready at our Relay for every survivor to ring as they make a lap. We want those rings of HOPE to be loud and proud. We want our message of WE NEED A CURE carried up to the Heavens and hope for divine intervention to happen that allows these brilliant researchers to finally make that final goal happen- end CANCER.

Your support allows the American Cancer Society to continue:
Fighting cancer in city halls, statehouses, and Congress by elevating the patient voice to advance policy change through the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN)
Ensuring no one feels alone at any point on their cancer journey, from prevention to survivorship, and, for some, the end of life.
Investing in breakthrough science to find more - and better - treatments, uncover factors that may cause cancer, and improve patients' quality of life.
Ensuring that all people have a fair and just opportunity to prevent, find, treat, and survive cancer. ACS and ACS CAN believe all people should have a fair and just opportunity to live a longer, healthier life free from cancer regardless of how much money they make, the color of their skin, their sexual orientation, gender identity, their disability status, or where they live.
Luminarias honor every life touched by cancer. You can dedicate them to a loved one lost, someone currently battling, or anyone who's overcome it.
Thank you for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

This isn’t what I wanted.
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
