Fight for Joe

Welcome to team Fight for Joe!

Where we will continue to fight just like he did! Joe battled Glioblastoma head on for 18 months (521 days) and amazed us all.  He made us laugh, made us cry, but most of all showed us how to look fear in the eyes and even accept the worst news anyone could ever get, yet he was still determined he would beat this, and he did on his own terms.   Those who knew him, you loved him or you didn’t.  But Joe was one of a kind to the ones who loved him.  Ronnie, Deegan, and I were blessed to have him be such a special part of our lives and we will never forget him.  We will continue to honor Joe forever, continue to fight to help others or try to help make a difference in the war against GBM, we thank everyone who helped and guided us through Joe's battle, and those who continue to guide the boys and I through daily lives without Joe as it’s not been an easy one.

So this year's theme is lights camera action! Our theme is the movie “Dodgeball” so the Awesome Joes will take on some Globo Gym purple Cobras

We will be having a pay to play Dodgeball games relay night.  A spike ball tournament, and more.

We look forward to our first relay to honor Joe and everyone else, and there’s no where else I’d rather see the sunrise on Joe's birthday than surrounded by family, friends, and warriors!!!

How Fundraising Impacts Your Community

Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.

As of January 2022, we have invested $400 M for potentially lifesaving cancer research grants.

We have received over 250,000 calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support in 2021

Cancer patients benefited from ACS transportation support through our Road TO Recovery program and transportation grants in 2021, with nearly 229,000 rides provided.

Our Sponsors

Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.

Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
