Why I Wear Pink

Why I Wear Pink

My wife Aimee was diagnosed with HER2+ Breast Cancer, Oct. 2020. She went through COVID, cancer, chemo and a double mastectomy, all within 7 months.  She is a warrior, I stand in awe of her, in genuine support of her, in honor of her and all of those like her.

The truth is that we feel called to help others in the fight against cancer.  Specifically we have devoted ourselves to be shoulder-to-shoulder with The American Cancer Society because of their role in saving my wife's life.

Why I Support the American Cancer Society

To put it plainly...  We take every opportunity to tell the world that The American Cancer Society was instrumental in my wife defeating breast cancer.  She would not have the opportunity to be where she is today if it were not for their funding the research and advancements to develop Herceptin which is a targeted immunotherapy that allows chemotherapy to be effective at conquering HER2+ Breast Cancer.  These are not dramatic statements, they are a genuine testimony of a completely different prognosis than we would have otherwise had.

Every day, the American Cancer Society is saving more lives from breast cancer than ever before. They're helping people take steps to reduce their risk of breast cancer or find it early, when it's easier to treat. They provide free information and services when and where people need it. They fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and they're working to ensure access to mammograms for women who need them. PLEASE join me in this important fight!

Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.

Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
