Betty's Garden
We are a team who Relays in honor of my mom, Betty Heidema.
On February 16, 2022 I lost my mom to ovarian cancer...on her 73rd birthday. My mom was an incredible, strong, determined, gentle and kind person who was taken from us way to soon because of this horrible disease. I never once in my entire 50 years of life saw her cry because of physical pain. As her caregiver, and her loving daughter, it was excruciating to watch my sweet beautiful Mom suffer so much and in tears from the pain. I relay because I can't stand the thought of another person having to go through this. We have to find a cure!! We just have to!

Why We Relay
We are a team who Relays in honor of my mom, Betty Heidema.
