As veterans, we've seen firsthand the strength and resilience of the human spirit. We've fought for our country, and now we're joining the fight against another enemy: cancer. Cancer doesn't discriminate. It touches veterans, their families, and our communities. At VFW Post 9972, we believe in serving our community, and that includes supporting those battling this disease. The Relay for Life is a powerful event that brings people together to celebrate survivorship, remember those we've lost, and raise critical funds for the American Cancer Society. Here at VFW Post 9972, we're joining the Relay for Life for a few key reasons: To honor our fellow veterans: Many veterans face a higher risk of certain cancers due to their service. We want to stand with them in the fight. To support our community: Cancer impacts families throughout Sierra Vista. We want to show our support for those battling the disease and their loved ones. To raise money for a cure: The American Cancer Society funds groundbreaking research and critical patient support services. Every dollar raised brings us closer to a cure. We invite you to join us at the Relay for Life! Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
