Road America Walk-Run

Hermes Racing

HERMES RACING XIII

Hermes Racing hits the road once again at the Annual Road America ACS Walk/Run on November 2nd. We are runners and walkers raising funds for the American Cancer Society in memory of Michael P. Hermes. “Big Mike” passed away from complications due to cancer on June 6, 2012.

Road America is a world-class auto racing venue in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin that Big Mike pilgrimaged to for decades. His buddies, and eventually his children, spent many summer weekends, rain or shine, up at the track watching international auto-racing. Big Mike would always say, “Any day at the track is a good day.” When we discovered that the Sheboygan-area American Cancer Society hosted a fund-raising walk/run, we thought there were few better ways to honor Big Mike’s memory. We hope he gets a big kick out of knowing that his friends and family get to run (but not drive) on the famous track that he watched for so many years.

This is the eighth year that Hermes Racing will participate at the ACS Run/Walk at Road America. We had our largest team ever last year and we hope that more friends will join us this year. Last year we raised nearly $1,200, making our life-long grand team total over $11,000. These donations fund groundbreaking cancer research, critical family care services, education and prevention initiatives, and so much more. All donations are tax-deductible (your confirmation email is your receipt).

Please consider walking or running with us or making a donation. You can even ask your imployer if they will match your donation! As always, we appreciate all your love and support for our efforts.

Thank you,

The 2015 Hermes Racing Team

Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.

Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
