Together, we can finish cancer!

Ronald James Stallings, 57, died peacefully in Anchorage Saturday November 17 at 10:00 pm of conditions related to cancer. Ron was born in Fairbanks May 18, 1961 and moved with his parents to Seward in 1970, where he lived continuously for the rest of his life.

He is survived by his wife Wendy of Seward; daughters Brittany, Kursten, Casie, Jessica, and Tori of Seward; twelve grandchildren; mother Elaine Stallings Seegar of Hermosa Beach CA; and brother Michael of Anchorage. He was predeceased by his father, Alton Stallings.

Ron was a force of nature, bringing an abundance of energy to everything he did. He spent much of his career on the water crewing and captaining fishing boats, landing craft, and tenders. He was also an in-demand commercial painter and dry-waller, working on large commercial projects from Elmendorf AFB to Unalaska.

“Though The captain of our ship has left and we feel lost at sea, we will together have strength to get through this thanks to our Dad. He has taught us and now guides us through this storm” - The Stallings Girls

Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.

Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
