TD Five Boro Bike Tour

Welcome to Team Biking for Bill's fundraising page. On May 5th, NYC will transform as 32,000 riders from around the globe take to the streets, pedaling through all five boroughs in the renowned TD Five Boro Bike Tour. Covering a distance of 40 miles, the tour commences in Lower Manhattan and concludes in Staten Island. Over the next few weeks, we will be fundraising for the American Cancer Society, an esteemed charity partner of this event. On the day of the event, we will be riding in memory of Bill Drake, who passed away from cancer in July 2019. Bill was diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer in September 2013. For nearly six years, he faced his diagnosis with unwavering courage and determination, embracing life to the fullest extent. One of his greatest joys was riding his motorcycle along the picturesque beaches of Cape Cod. A strong advocate for cutting-edge cancer research, Bill believed in the power of innovative therapies and early detection technologies to save lives. Funds raised through this initiative will support vital cancer patient programs and pioneering treatments, making a tangible impact on those affected by this disease.
