2024 Home Run Derby
Thank you for participating in the 2024 Michigan Softball Academy Home Run Derby presented by WKTA Sports Talk Radio! On Thursday, May 2nd, at 7PM, our Home Run Derby Qualifiers will face off in a Home Run Derby to benefit the American Cancer Society.
THE RULES: Each hitter will be given 10 pitches—the player with the most home runs wins the Derby The hitter with the most “votes” (dollars donated online prior to 5PM on May 2nd) will win home field advantage (choice of batting first or second) Hitters can purchase extra swings for $100 per pitch (up to 5) TO PARTICIPATE: “Vote” for the hitter you choose to win home field advantage by making a donation to one of them individually. Each dollar donated is a vote. The player with the most dollars raised by 5PM on May 2nd will win home field advantage. Sponsor a ball (limited opportunity): Donate $500 online to the hitter of your choice and you will receive a Derby Ball signed by all Home Run Derby Contestants, Coaches Hutch and Tholl, and Honorary Chairwomen Kelli Moore and Wendy Yip (the $500 donation will also count as 500 votes for your chosen hitter) ATTEND the Home Run Derby on Thursday, May 2nd at Alumni Field at Carol Hutchins Stadium. The Derby will begin at 7PM and end by 7:15PM. *Please note that the 2024 Home Run Derby Challenge will take place between the 202 M4ichigan Softball Academy Clinics and Social Mixer presented by Nicole and Stephen Eisenberg. Donations or votes for the Home Run Derby do not include admission to either the Academy or the Social Mixer. Social Mixer tickets are still for sale and can be purchased through the “sign up” button on the home page.
