Howdy there! My name is Eduardo and I’m grateful that you’ve found yourself on this page. We’ve all been touched by the effects of Cancer in some way. For me, it started in 2021 when my mom was diagnosed with early stages of cancer. Thankfully, she caught it in time and with the proper team by her side she was able to overcome the adversity rather quickly.
I recognize that this isn’t always the case when Cancer comes knocking at the door and that's why I feel that I am called to to contribute to this cause, because without the proper funding for research, we'd be like warriors trying to defend our land with sticks and stones.
We don't have to live in the dark ages anymore, and because of the way the world moves, money will always be the biggest barrier for getting things done. That's why I've pledged to raise money for this cause and in exchange I will honor those that have passed, celebrate those who have survived, and blaze a trail for generations to come so that we can overcome this adversity together.
I have commited to completing 26.2 miles on February 4th alongside my brother from another mother, Alexandar Dos Santos.
The money our team raises helps the American Cancer Society in so many ways. It's helping fund innovative research. It's providing free information for people dealing with the disease. It's providing rides to treatment and places to stay for people who have to seek treatment far from home. In short, our money is helping save lives.
