2025 will be my 17th Pan Ohio and my family and friends will reach $130,000 overall! Read on to learn more.
You can follow my fundraising efforts on my FB page, https://www.facebook.com/brian.bortz.37, or through this fundraiser. I’m part of a great team but ask you to donate through my personal page - contributions to individual riders go toward the team's total but contributions through the team page don't go towards my personal goal.
Making a difference in the fight against cancer - one mile at a time!
Cancer and bike riding are two things that most of us have experienced at one time or another. We are all cancer survivors, or know someone who is.
I ride for my mom, Susan Bortz, above all others. She is now a 20 year survivor of breast cancer!
Many of us also know at least one person who did not survive a battle with cancer. We are also all bike riders, or were at a younger age. Some of us ride down the street, and some ride across the state or farther. Some of us ride often, and some not so often.
This coming spring and summer I have committed to riding far and riding often. I registered for the Pan Ohio Hope Ride, which raises money for the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodges, homes away from home for people being treated for cancer. From July 24th to July 27th I will ride 328+ miles, from Cleveland to Cincinnati, and plan to continue my craziness of riding to and from the start as well.
I have set a personal fundraising goal of $14,000which will get us over $130,000 all time and hope you will help me reach that goal. No amount is too small! When I am out riding and start to tire, I think of how easy my ride is compared to battling cancer and how quickly it will end compared to battling cancer, and push on. I hope you can be motivated by similar thoughts when considering a pledge.
I'll do all the pedaling. But I need your support to make this incredible journey!
Please help me reach my fundraising goal with a donation of any size!
Your donation will help the Society to save lives, and support those struggling in the fight against cancer.
Please donate today, and let your friends and family know about my ride!
Thank you!
Brian
