Team Be Cowboy
Welcome to our team page -
Cancer has affected us directly through the loss of many family members including our WonderWoman of a Wife and Mom, Fon McConnell who we lost in November of 2022 to Pancreatic Cancer.
She lived every single one of her days making sure that whatever pain she was experiencing was turned into a physical action. We’ve been given the opportunity to follow her lead and run together as members of ACS Team DetermiNation in The DisneyWorld Springtime Surprise 5K and 10 miler in April. 2 things she valued most were a good pair of running shoes and time spent together with the ones she loved.
Her fight for time was aided by organizations like MD Anderson, who shortly after opening in 1941, received its first research grant from ACS. In the almost 70 years since, it's awarded the institution approximately 670 grants, equaling more than $80 million of support for its mission of eliminating cancer.
If you ask us, that’s pretty COWBOY!
So will you join us in being Cowboy too and making a donation today? From the bottom of our hearts we thank you, Jess and Jenni
