TCS New York City Marathon

It all started under the orange lights. A group of friends who worked out together regularly (and met each other!) at Orangetheory had a goal to run their first half marathon in 2022. They had ran 5 and 10k races and knew that this was going to be their next achievement. They trained together, supported one another and formed bonds that still run deep today. Little did they know that this would turn into something so much bigger. Before the first half marathon even approached, Courtney had decided to enter the lottery for the NYC Half Marathon set to take place in March ‘23. Luck was on her side and she got accepted! So now she had not one half marathon, but two to tackle. Tara was taking a trip with the family to NYC in March and thought it would be fun to join the race too, and was able to secure a spot with ACS DetermiNation. Once their first half was complete, they got back to training for NYC which was only a few weeks away. Their amazing friends trained alongside them - encouraging and supporting each other along the way. Race Day approached and it was even better than expected. The energy from the crowd, the beautiful city of New York and amazing runners all there for the same goal, made this a day to remember forever. Now, several half marathons later, the next step is to tackle the big one - 26.2 miles in the greatest city in the world. Please help us reach our goal while supporting cancer patients and research along the way.
