Liz's Legacy
“I never thought I’d live long enough to meet him.” That was the first thing Liz said when she met her first great grandchild, Louie. Just a few short months later our mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, sister & friend, Liz, died of lung cancer. She was so excited to meet her first great grandchild that she flew up north in the “freezing cold” NY spring. We won’t forget that moment which is pictured here. Tears filled the room. Our grief is still raw. However, today we’ve decided to fight back in honor of Liz. She started smoking at age 16 and quickly developed a lifelong addiction to nicotine. Thanks in large part to the American Cancer Society smoking is at an all time low. New screening & treatments are changing the outcome of a lung cancer diagnosis. Cessation and prevention strategies are helping people quit and never picking up the habit. Join Liz’s Legacy by donating today to help the American Cancer Society continue their efforts to fight lung cancer, and more importantly to help 16 year olds, like Liz, to never pick up a cigarette or vape. We wish great grandma Liz was here to see Louie begin to crawl. Your support today will help more grandparents enjoy their families for much longer. Thank you so much for your support! RIP Liz 💕
