After watching his beloved wife, Margo, of 40 plus years, painfully succumb to cancer, our father, Tim, was diagnosed with lung cancer himself. With 8 children, their spouses, 17 grandchildren, and numerous loving family members behind him; he bravely fought the battle against this terrible disease. He powered through weekly rounds of chemo and radiation for many months; all while attending little league games, concerts, holidays, family gatherings, and following his favorite sports team, The Yankees. He always wanted to know how “you” were doing; rather than talk about what he was going through. He happily celebrated the end of these treatments with his family around him and an optimistic eye on the future. Sadly, despite his courage and strong fight, the cancer took over and Tim lost the battle himself. Our Dad was a kind, gentle soul who will be missed by so many. It is a complete understatement to say that he is “gone too soon”. When asked if he had one wish for the world, Dad would say, “find a cure for Cancer”.
