We are living in truely unprecedented times with unprecedented challenges and divisions, but one thing that must unite us all, WE MUST END CANCER FOREVER!!! This year we are dedicating our efforts in memory of our dear friend Tina Hazuka, daughter of Diane Andruszko, and one of our survivors who passed away this year. Why We are Making Strides
Welcome to our Coastal Jersey Parrot Head Club Team Page!
A few years ago we lost our beloved member, friend, and mentor Dick Koempel, Tina's stepfather, who lost his courageous battle with metastatic bladder cancer. You may remember Dick's smiling face at our Lake of the Lillies water station as he offered you "Margarita's, salt or no salt!"

NO MORE, NO MORE. NO MORE!!!
We have two members who celebrate another year as survivors. Almost everyone has been touched by breast cancer in some way, so we've decided to make a difference by walking and raising money in our local American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.
Today 1 of every 2 women newly diagnosed with breast cancer reaches out to the American Cancer Society for help and support. The donations our team raises will enable investment in groundbreaking breast cancer research, free information and services for women diagnosed with the disease, and access to mammograms for women who need them. Our donations will help more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors celebrate another birthday this year!
Why We Support the American Cancer Society
Saving lives from breast cancer starts one team, one walker, and one dollar at a time. We know that the American Cancer Society is the leader in the fight to end breast cancer. We know that supporting them will ensure that if you need someone to talk to anytime of the day or night, they'll be there. If your friend is losing her hair from chemo, your mother needs a ride to treatment, or a loved one needs a place to stay when treatment is far from home, they will be there to help.
Join us and together we will walk for a world without breast cancer.

And walking and raising money in our local American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is the best way we can do that. We all have different reasons for participating but we share a determination to help save lives from breast cancer.
There are so many ways that the money our team raises helps. It’s helping fund innovative research. It's providing free information for people dealing with the disease. It’s providing rides to treatment and places to stay for people who have to seek treatment far from home. In short, our money is helping save lives. Consider donating to our team and helping advance the cause.
How We Support the American Cancer Society
Of course we walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. And we solicit donations from family, friends, and other supporters. But we also schedule fundraisers in lead-up to the big event. Bake-sales, car washes, and countless other types of events. And we promote those on social media, through Facebook and Twitter, by word of mouth, and through flyers at work and around the neighborhood. The success of fundraising events depends on two things - hard work and getting the word out. And we're out to do both. Keep an eye out for our fundraising events.
