Why We are Making Strides Welcome to DIVAS IN MOTION Team Page! As you all know, I wholeheartly support Breast Cancer Awareness. I've always supported the cause, but when my oldest sister Vickie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2010, it changed my life forever. Who would've thought she would have to battle this disease for a 2nd time in 2015. To see what this disease can do to a person is heart breaking. Watching your love one suffer and FIGHT this disease with every fiber of their being, and there is nothing you can do physically to help them........words can not describe how PAINFUL it is.My prayer is that ONE DAY, a cure will be found and no other woman or man will have to suffer from that one ugly word I hate....CANCER! THANK GOD MY SISTER IS A SURVIVOR AND CANCER FREE!!!! So I walk for the cause because it's personal to me, yes my Sister survived this disease twice BUT there are some who still suffer and others who have lost their battle.... I walk to honor them as well. Will you help make a difference by walking and raising money for our team, DIVAS IN MOTIONto help our local American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event? (DUDES are welcome to join our team as well). PLEASEJOIN ME AS WE WALK FOR A CURE TO END BREAST CANCER!!!

Today 1 of every 2 women newly diagnosed with breast cancer reaches out to the American Cancer Society for help and support. The donations our team raises will enable investment in groundbreaking breast cancer research, free information and services for women diagnosed with the disease, and access to mammograms for women who need them. Our donations will help more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors celebrate another birthday this year! Saving lives from breast cancer starts one team, one walker, and one dollar at a time. We know that the American Cancer Society is the leader in the fight to end breast cancer. We know that supporting them will ensure that if you need someone to talk to anytime of the day or night, theyll be there. If your friend is losing her hair from chemo, your mother needs a ride to treatment, or a loved one needs a place to stay when treatment is far from home, they will be there to help.
