Hi there! Thank you for taking a moment to show your love and support, as I’ve joined Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to honor survivors and thrivers, remember those we have lost, and support anyone in our community who's been affected by it.

As we all know, cancer simply doesn’t discriminate, nor does it care how many loved ones you hold dear to your heart. I lost my absolute favorite person in the world due to battling breast cancer. My Granny, aka “Dingie / Mary Villapando.” 

The word “tough” does no justice, compared to the amount of strength and fearlessness that she brought to the table. She fought like a champ throughout her first battle with breast cancer, and kicked its butt, but when the cancer returned and she was faced with her SECOND battle, she fought until the very end with the strength she had left.

 It doesn’t matter how old you are, if you’re a good person, or even if you’ve lived a healthy lifestyle… breast cancer will find a way, but WE as a community can make a difference to support those who come across these difficult times and decisions. That’s why I am participating in this year’s walk-a-thon against breast cancer, to represent my Granny, as well as all of the people who have been affected by breast cancer! 

The funds I'm raising will sustain critical research and provide services for people trying to cope with their breast cancer experience, and to keep fighting through their difficult journey.
