Strides RewardsKeeping the Pace With Dianne
Why We are Making Strides TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More I would like to dedicate my page to all of my team helpers. First and foremost is my family who continually stand by me in assisting and attending every event. My husband, Tony, who is known as "my rock" has been by my side from the moment I was diagnosed 23 years ago. My two sons, Tony and Vincent and their wives, Jeni and Brenda also deserve accolades for their understanding and dedication to the cause. Our family company, Packaging & More, has hosted and annual trade show that directly supports my team. This contribution has been instrumental to help reach my team goal. Each year, I try to attempt a new and unique fundraising opportunity. Special thanks and recognition goes to Liz Lanni, Pamela Jaroubchi, Naomi Salvatore, Carol Mangiarelli, Kim Bgonette and my right hand assistant, Judy Tallo, who worked tirelessly with me in this year's memorable and successful event, "The Breast of RI". A record crowd of 260 women enjoyed the show put on by Charlie Hall and Doreen Collins, with several anecdotes about our great state of RI. We had a record number of 24 sponsors this year who in total contributed over $14,000 . We are very happy to report that over $43,000 was raised at this event. We already have secured Kirkbrae Country Club for next year. Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, June 22, 2023 and stay tuned for our annoucement of the theme for our 12th annual women's night out! My supporters have also included many high school students and teachers, who help the team by purchasing pink ribbon cards as well as sponsoring dress down days. Promoting breast cancer education and awareness has always been one of my personal goals, and working with the young people of our State allows me to achieve this goal. Finally, I owe a big THANK YOU to all my family and friends who continually support my team with their time and money. Please know your mere presence at even one event brings me such joy. I look forward to seeing you at one of my upcoming fundraisers in the next few months, and please check your email for events both new and old. I also would like to encourage you to sign up and walk with me and my family on Sunday, October 16. Please note that this year's walk is being held in Providence and wil begin at 9 AM. You will find taking a couple hours out of your busy schedule can be quite the wonderful and worthwhile experience! Keep it in mind: TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More

TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More
Thank you for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.
As of January 2022, we have invested $71 M for potentially lifesaving breast cancer specific research grants.
We have received over 250,000 calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support in 2021
Cancer patients benefited from ACS transportation support through our Road TO Recovery program and transportation grants in 2021, with nearly 229,000 rides provided.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against breast cancer.

Strides RewardsThis isn’t what I wanted.
Welcome to our Team Page. We've formed a team because this cause is important to us. We want to help. And walking and raising money in our local American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is the best way we can do that. We all have different reasons for participating but we share a determination to help save lives from breast cancer.
There are so many ways that the money our team raises helps. It’s helping fund innovative research. It's providing free information for people dealing with the disease. It’s providing rides to treatment and places to stay for people who have to seek treatment far from home. In short, our money is helping save lives. Consider donating to our team and helping advance the cause.
How We Support the American Cancer Society
Of course we walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. And we solicit donations from family, friends, and other supporters. But we also schedule fundraisers in lead-up to the big event. Bake-sales, car washes, and countless other types of events. And we promote those on social media, through Facebook and Twitter, by word of mouth, and through flyers at work and around the neighborhood. The success of fundraising events depends on two things - hard work and getting the word out. And we're out to do both. Keep an eye out for our fundraising events.
