We are the Cur’em Crusaders, a family team who will spend an unforgettable day participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Washington, DC on October 26th to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer.  As a family, the journey to raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer is personal.  We walk to honor those in our family who are currently going through treatment, those who are survivors, and in memory of Irene Chernati (Our Mother, Mother-In-Law, and Grandmother) who lost her battle to breast cancer in 2011.  Over the years, our team has raised over $50,000 toward the fight against breast cancer!

As a part of our commitment in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, our team has pledged to raise $2,000 (which we hope to exceed)!!  The money we raise will go toward Investing in groundbreaking breast cancer research to better understand, prevent, find, and treat the disease.  It also provides vital services for people coping with breast cancer such as transportation to cancer treatments, free places to stay near a treatment center, a live 24/7 cancer helpline, and more.  Funds donated toward the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk are managed and disbursed by the American Cancer Society, an accredited 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

As we walk and for every step we take together, we'll think of those who fight every day, all the survivors, and those who have lost their battle!  One victory for us will be crossing the finish line as a family and team knowing that we have supported such a worthy cause.
