For over 10 years, we’ve been raising money for breast cancer research and several families who have been affected by this disease. With the generosity of friends, family and local businesses around our area, GreenScapes has raised over $60,000 since the inception of “Pink Days” in 2012. This annual event began as part of the Invincibelle Spirit Campaign for a Cure, a nation-wide fundraiser, but has grown into so much more for us at GreenScapes. We’ve met so many amazing, brave and strong people through this event, and they’ve all become life-long friends. THIS IS YOUR CAPTAIN SPEAKING... "In November of 2019, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. To say those words aren’t absolutely terrifying would be a lie. I was lucky enough to not only catch it early, but have undergone effective treatments, and can happily report that I am CANCER FREE. I’m thankful for supportive family and friends, amazing nurses and doctors, and an early diagnosis. Knowing so many people who have gone through similar things has brought me comfort and support."
This year, we've decided to start a team and Join The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk! With our goal of making the most impact that we can in the name of such a worthy cause, we are looking to generous friends and family for donations. How can you help? If participation in this worthwhile cause is something you are compelled to assist with, you can sign up today to join our team, for which we would be most appreciative. Most important to consider in relation to this request is the impact you will have on individuals who may be affected by the biggest fight of their lives to date. We at GreenScapes greatly appreciate your support; whatever form it comes in. The success of these events will be attributed to the participants and the generous people and businesses in our community. Your time and donations will help raise funds help bring awareness and research funds to the individuals who run the risk of developing breast cancer at some point in their life or are currently fighting this disease.
