Even though we all have our own reasons for joining Making Strides, we "G-Love’s Gems" are joining in honor of Gerlean Leverette. Gerlean is a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 13. She is also a daughter,sister,aunt, great-grandmother, and cousin to a host of other relatives. She has also made a profound impact and long-lasting relationships within her community. Gerlean, my grandmother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of 2024. Along with her medical team, my family and I have made many efforts in progression with her healing journey. I created OUR team to show Gerlean, my grandmother "the woman of many hats" OUR gratitude, endearment, and admiration from everyone who loves her.
