Making Strides of Leon
No Boobs No Hair Don't Care
This year I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at age 47. I had to have a bilateral mastectomy. I am currently receiving chemotherapy treatments which will be followed by 33 radiation treatments. Although not easy, I am grateful for my treatment options. Luckily breast cancer is well researched and through donations we are able to have so many treatment options for patients like myself. I want to get my story out there because I want everyone to get their mammograms every year as I did. Even though my mammo was exactly a year apart, it goes to show how fast your situation can change. I couldn't imagine if I skipped a year, how different my outcome could have been! I am 47, have no boobs, no hair and I DON'T CARE!! I will survive this! I have my family, a big smile on my face and I'm living!! And that's all that matters!
