4Ever Rallying 4 Regina

We promised to 4Ever Rally 4 Regina!

Almost all of us have been touched by cancer in some way.  Those of us who witnessed the strength, hope and courage Regina Rivera showed during her 4-year battle with cancer will continue to honor her memory by helping others to succeed in the fight against cancer.  One of the ways we can do this is by walking and raising money in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event.
At the event, our team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society in the world?s largest fight for more birthdays.
Regina's life was cut short, stalled when she discovered her cancer about the time of her 30th birthday.  She never gave up the battle.  She did not give in, but cancer took her from us on August 2, 2012.  She continued to inspire her family and friends.  She continued to make new friends while she was trying so courageously to recover.  People, especially all of her doctors, nurses, caregivers, even the hospital chef were inspired by her until her final moments.

Please join our team or make a donation, if you can.

A luminaria dedication is a nice way to honor or memorialize a friend or loved one who has or had cancer for a donation of $10.  See the link below.

Money is tight for many.  A good thought, encouragement to someone suffering, a good deed, a note or a prayer would also be just as welcome by our team as a monetary donation.  There are so many ways in whih we can honor Regina's memory.  I promise that you will get a good feeling when you do.

HOW FUNDRAISING IMPACTS YOUR COMMUNITY

Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.

$410 million as of
august 2018

Funding potentially lifesaving cancer research grants.

1.34 million in 2017

Calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support.

Nearly
452 thousand in 2017

Nights of free lodging provided to patients at Hope Lodge® communities.

Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.

Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
