MultiCare Center For Healthy Living
Why We Formed a Relay For Life Fundraising Team
Welcome to our team page! We are a team composed of family and friends who are dedicated to KICKING cancer our of our lives.
Most of our team members, are friends as well as paras and teachers who work together,, but we join in and welcome our family members, and friends as well as a couple MultiCare employees who make up our team. What we do have in common is our dedication to fighting cancer all year, but especially on our 24 hour weekend.
Cancer has touched too many of our lives, so we decided to unite and fight back by raising funds and walking in our local American Cancer Society Relay For Life event.
As a team, we are taking action to help eliminate cancer as a major health problem. At our Relay event, we will take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society in their lifesaving mission.
Our event will be held MAY 14-15, 2021 from noon to noon at Mt. Tahoma High School on their track. We are MultiCare Center For Healthy Living team and will welcome you from our BIG white tent that is on the track and right across from home grandstands.
If you are a Survivor, please join us as we do the lst lap and then enjoy a free meal prepared by Olive Garden. As a survivor you can register online or at the track and get a nice, free medal and your purple survivor shirt. At 10pm, you can return and enjoy the Luminaria ceremony complete with bagpiper and luminaria bags tht will burn all night as we remember our loved ones gone too soon, or those still fighting.
Please join our team or make a donation. Saving lives from cancer starts one team, one participant, one dollar at a time. TOGETHER, we will make a difference. Thanking you for always supporting us in our fight to find a cure. Marian Swanson, Team Captain

MultiCare Center For Healthy Living doesn't have any donations yet.
Be The First To DonateCancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.
Funding potentially lifesaving cancer research grants.
Calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support.
Nights of free lodging provided to patients at Hope Lodge® communities.
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
