Purple Rain
We live in a senior community called Sunlake Estates in Grand Island, Fl. Our first Relay fundraiser we do each year is a one mile walk. Those who wish to participate make a donation to the ACS. This event has been very successful. During each event that we sponsor, we are also selling our Luminaria bags. This year we are sponsoring our first dance from 7-9 on Feb. 26, 2022. We are Blessed with a very talented semi-retired gentlemen who has volunteered to help make this dance happen.
Our Relay for Life team donates their money and time to put together several beautiful baskets that we raffle off. The raffles are a huge success each year. On March 7, 2022 we will be sponsoring a late afternoon luncheon/meal, followed with our raffle drawings. After the drawings we will have our most important part of our Relay, the Luminaria Ceremony with beautiful background music put together by one more talented member of our community. This is our time that we reflect, find comfort, healing and support from our community of friends and family.

Why We Relay
